The Prime Minister of Albania, Mr. Edi Rama, will pay an official visit to Tokyo, Japan, from February 21 to February 25, in accordance with the 42nd anniversary of the official establishment of diplomatic relations between Albania and Japan.
During his official visit to Tokyo, Prime Minister Rama will participate in several meetings, with regard to strengthening and deepening the cooperation between the two countries, by reaffirming their friendship and their common commitment to further develop the bilateral and multilateral collaboration, to face challenges together as friends and allies who share the same values.
Prime Minister Rama will hold a bilateral meeting with the Prime Minister of Japan, Mr. Fumio Kishida, and together with the accompanying delegation he will participate in the dinner hosted by Mr. Kishida.
The two countries share common interests with regard to social and health care, disaster prevention, and the protection of the environment. Albania and Japan share the willingness to further develop their common interests by increasing cultural exchange, especially in tourism, and by deepening economic and trade cooperation.
The year 2022 marked the 100th anniversary of the establishment of friendly relations between Albania and Japan.
